Will Jordan's Road to Recovery

Some of you may know that Will had a catastrophic medical event occur recently.  He is currently in the CICU (Cardiac Intensive Care Unit) at Strong Memorial Hospital. Last Wednesday Will went to Highland Hospital.  He was quickly put on a ventilator, sedated and moved to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Strong.  On Thursday afternoon into Friday morning he underwent a 10 hour surgery that replaced two heart valves and fixed a hole in his heart.  It was determined that he had a bacteria that destroyed his heart.  Because of the extensiveness of the damage he has remained on a cardiac bypass machine and a ventilator.  He has to undergo surgery every 3-4 days to change out his bandages inside of his open chest.  He will have to remain in the hospital for months to recover. Will is one of the first people to help out his friends and family and the last person to ever ask for help.  Will's medical bills from being in the CICU are mounting.  He is unable to work and will not be able to work for a very long time.  We are hoping to take some of the burden off of him so that he is able to focus on his health and recovery.
