In honor of William “Will” Friend we will be using these donations to support two causes he felt strongly about.
Recess is the business that Will and his wife Bevin had been building and growing in their new North Carolina home. There was nothing Will respected or valued more than the American Dream, entrepreneurship, and women in business. We know he wanted to see this business continue to great success and lead to the employment of many more people. Creating rewarding and meaningful jobs for others was the legacy Will wanted to leave.
We will also be donating to the Special Operators Transition Foundation founded by Robert J. O’Neill, one of the most highly decorated combat veterans of our time. He served at SEAL Team Two, SEAL Team Four and eight years at the legendary SEAL Team Six. Having taken part in and leading over 400 combat missions. His foundation is dedicated to Special Operations heroes and their families, SOTF offers essential transitional services and family stabilization support by providing executive-level mentoring and career placement opportunities to veterans who are leaving the military and entering into the private sector. Will was passionate about any cause that honored our brave servicemen and women. He believed that all veterans deserved to be supported and honored to the greatest extent possible.
Thank you for helping us to honor him in the way that we are certain he would have wanted us to. I will be receiving the funds and splitting them equally between Recess and SOTF.
