Wildfire Home Loss Aid for Carla and Chris

Dear Friends and Family, 
     Many of you know that our dear teacher and friend, CARLA BRENNAN, and her partner CHRIS WILLETT, lost their home in the CZU Lightning Complex fire in the Santa Cruz Mountains on August 20th, 2020. Their house, three out buildings and two cars were completely destroyed by the fire. They and the other residents of Alba Road in Ben Lomond, CA  were evacuated in the early hours of the 19th, because the fires from the ridge in Bonny Doon were rapidly approaching.
     Chris and Carla are safe and have a place to live for several months in Santa Cruz. They are navigating the complex worlds of insurance and disaster relief and regrouping for an unknown future. They lost all of their belongings as well as several income sources in the fire. We are sponsoring a GoFundMe to support them during this major transition. We realize you may know others who are also grieving the loss of their homes and memories, so whatever you are able to contribute is greatly appreciated.
