Widowed Mother of 4 needs our help!

Loss is an unfortunate part of life, and each of us has experienced some sort of loss, relying on the generosity and compassion of friends, family, and faith to see us through a difficult situation. A few days ago, a friend and former colleague, Nicole, along with her four children, said goodbye to a husband and father.  Nicole’s husband, Micah,  lost his battle against Myelodysplastic Syndrome. This is a type of cancer in which the bone marrow does not make enough healthy blood cells and abnormal (blast) cells present themselves in the blood and/or bone marrow. She is grieving not only the loss of her husband, but also the loss of the future they had planned, all while remaining strong for her children

Out of necessity Nicole put her career on hold to become a full- time caregiver to her husband. Days were filled with doctors’ appointments, hospital stays, and therapy sessions. Now, In the blink of an eye she has been thrust into one of the most challenging jobs imaginable, without a safety net – supporting 4 children. In addition to her own grief, she has to help the kids make sense and come to terms with their father's death. Nicole faces the trauma of trying to adjust to this new identity while being besieged with a multitude of urgent questions and decisions. The last thing she should have to deal with is money matters, but money does matter, not only for her, but for her children's immediate future.

I am asking you for donations to help this widowed mother.  Any  and all donations will assist with the most basic need, groceries,  upcoming field trips, gas for car, household bills, funeral expenses and so, so much more.
