WHRHS Team 41 Robotics to World Championship!

Tax deductible
The students of the Watchung Hills Robotics Team 41 (RoboWarriors) have been hard at work designing, building, and programming a world-class robot. They have made our community proud by successfully qualifying for the world championships in Houston! With costs of transportation, lodging, meals, replacements parts, and operations, they really need our help with funding.  20+ students are expected to attend the 4-day event in Houston.  Estimates for this trip are about $1,700 per student for airfare, hotel, meals, and transportation.  This does not include cargo shipping costs.  Currently, much of the expenses will fall on the students.  Let’s do what we can to help them out.

Team 41 participates in FIRST® (www.firstinspires.org), a worldwide organization that includes thousands of teams and hundreds of thousands of students. The mission of FIRST® is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

During the 2022 Season, Team 41 has competed in the finals of both of their regional events. With their regional successes, they were invited to the District Championship where they competed in the quarterfinals. In addition to their competitions, Team 41 received much coveted awards for their 2022 robot:
• Excellence in Engineering
• Innovation in Control
• Industrial Design

WHEAT (Watchung Hills Education and Technology) supports Team 41 Robotics by helping to fund the design, build and operation of their robots each season. We need your help in transporting the students, robot, pit equipment, and tools to Houston, Texas for the World Championship. Let’s keep this great season rolling. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

The WHEAT team.
