Chad King Medical Emergency Fund

Tax deductible

Chad King is 36 years old, a husband and the father of a beautiful seven
year old girl. On Monday he became nauseated and began to vomit, he
couldn't stop. His head was pounding with the worst headache he had
ever endured. In the middle of this he realized he could not lift his arms. He called for help and was transported to the hospital. At first the
doctors thought Chad had suffered a stroke but soon they began to
suspect it was far worse. After an MRI, the neurologist was convinced
Chad had an aggressive, malignant brain tumor. The MRI showed the
brain had actually been moved approximately 2 inches the left side of his head due to the swelling of the tumor. Chad was given steroids and pain killers for 2 days to get him ready for the surgery.

Surgery on Thursday proved the dire diagnosis to be correct, the tumor
is malignant and aggressive which means it will try and grow back. The
surgeon was able to remove 95% of the tumor, and Chad will be
receiving radiation and chemo to retard the growth of the tumor.

Prior to his diagnosis, Chad exhibited erratic behavior at home and at
work. Because of his actions, he lost his job and his insurance. He was out of work for approximately two months before the tumor was found and
as you can imagine, the bills are behind. His wife, who was
homeschooling their daughter,  got a job to make ends meet, but it
doesn't pay enough to actually get ahead without Chad working. He will not return to work because of the damage done by the tumor and by the surgery to remove that tumor. He is now permanently disabled. He will
be applying for disability in the near future, but that is a long and difficult process and the funds will not start to flow for months or even years. The paperwork for Medicaid has been filed, but that will not kick in for 60
days. Chad will be responsible for the medical bills until that time.

In the meantime, Chad and his family need to buy food, keep a roof over
their heads so Chad has a place to recover, and to keep lights on.  At this
time, there is no way to know how many more surgeries Chad will have
to undergo. He will also need home health care and physical therapy
which is an extra financial burden on a family that is already pushed to
the breaking point.

All the money raised will go directly to Chad and his family, minus the
deductions  from by GoFundMe.

The funds must begin to flow immediately to meet the urgent needs of
Chad and his family. We appreciate any amount you can donate to this
cause and of course we appreciate your prayers for Chad's recovery.
