Whitney go to the Mayo Clinic

Hey everyone!

So a lot of you may not know this but back when I was a little kid (about 2nd grade), I noticed that my skin was different. Multiple trips to the doctors and multiple biopsies later I was informed that I had a skin disease called Hidradenitis suppurativa. I was told that there was nothing that I could do to prevent it, there wasn't a medicine for it and that I would just have to deal with it. The older I got the more problems this "skin disease " was causing. I began to develop frequent abscesses on various parts of my body. They would get huge and the pain would sometimes feel unbearable! When this happens the only thing that gives me some sort of relief would be to go and get them lanced and drained which would leave me in pain but at least I knew healing was coming. Since I wasn't given much information about this "disease " I had, I decided to do more research. Come to find out Hidradenitis suppurativa was actually an auto immune disease. Fast forward and On June 8th of this year my condition landed me in the hospital and I was admitted for almost a week due to infection in my body. I was given IV antibiotics infusions 24/7 until my levels were right.

I was referred to and advised numerous times to contact the Mayo Clinic to see if I could get an appointment. I submitted my request and sent in all of my records and pictures of my body and I was contacted in less than a week to be seen.

So on October 24th-28th I will be headed to the Mayo Clinic to prayerfully come up with a more aggressive plan to assist with my condition.

Due to doctors orders and the pain I have been off work since I got admitted into the hospital. I am needing help with travel expenses, hotel accommodations and food for the week that I'll be in Minnesota. So if everyone could PLEASE pray for me while I am going through this that would truly be a blessing and If you are able to assist with a monetary donation that would be a blessing too.
