I've had Multiple Myeloma, a nasty bone cancer, for 23 years, and my doctors just pulled the plug on my treatment and told me to get comfortable and enjoy my time.
I've always loved traveling. Times on the road are the best parts of my life, and I've always wanted to share that kind of experience with my 7 year old son. I'm currently in a wheelchair and stuck in bed a lot. He flys in from Indiana, where he lives with his Mom on the 19th and we're planning to take an RV down from Portland, OR down to LA, where my family is, for the holidays.
Some friends of mine are filming the whole adventure and trying to make a documentary about the trip a sort of father and son's last ride. My favorite tv show is Scooby Doo and favorite snack is a Hostess Chocodile, which are really hard to find, so we came up with the idea to turn the last ride into a mystery called "The Search for the Elusive Chauncey the Chocodile."
We're looking for Donations to pay for the RV, fuel, food, rv parks, some camera equipment and some fun along the way, ie. disneyland, the Hostess Chocodile Factory, Hanna-Barbera Studios ect. If we raise enough we'd love to wrap the RV like the Mystery Machine or a box of Chocodiles!
Any help is greatly appreciated and really means the world to me and my son. I've never asked for anything in the 23 years of having this disease and feel weird asking now, but this is my last hurrah.
