My wife Amy was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Multiple Sclerosis in 2009. She has since then been near death twice, and came back like a fighter. She has been through chemo therapy once, and had plasmapheresis two separate times, and countless rounds of steroids. Her neurologist is out of ideas and has pretty much given up. She has been wheelchair bound for the last 2 1/2 years. We found out about a new stem cell treatment in Chicago that seems incredibly promising. They take small amounts of fat from her body, extract the stem cells from it, and then reintroduce it via IV. We are trying to raise money to rent a wheelchair van to make this trip as comfortable as possible for her. The trip for us is 1000 miles round trip, and wheelchair chair van companies all charge by the mile on top of the rental fee. Any help anyone is willing to give is greatly appreciated.
