Wheelchair for Logi

Hello friends and family! Logan has been really struggling with his self esteem and self confidence. He has been crying a lot about not being able to walk or stand. He will be 6 on May 14th and is finally starting to understand his limitations. Logan will be starting wheelchair basketball and has an orientation where he will meet some college and jr. athletes on May 18th. 

I am reaching out for help with a sports model chair. Logan is not able to maneuver his current chair on grass so he isn't able to participate in recess the way he could be able to in a lighter chair. A lightweight chair will provide Logan with more independence, be able to easily get involved in accessible sports and overall will be better for his back! He will be able to roll on uneven surfaces with more ease instead of almost face planting every time we hit a bump.

His insurance will not cover this form of chair. We can't even get another chair approved for another 1-2 years. Logan deserves to have this increases independence and I want him to feel proud of himself and what he can do in his chair.
