Wheelchair for Alfie

Following an unthinkable and catastrophic medical error made by the hospital immediately after Alfie’s birth, he has been left with extensive physical and life altering  disabilities. Despite admitting negligence, the hospital has fought against Alfie’s family’s claim for justice and compensation all the way until the case finally went in the hospitals favour. This means that Alfie and his family are left not only with the injustice, but with all the practical and financial  implications. First and foremost, Alfie needs a new wheelchair, one that is specific to his medical needs and he is able to operate himself. These do not come cheap! So I have started this page in the hope that we can go some way to helping this heroic boy and inspirational family get the wheelchair they need. We cannot right the wrong, or take away the pain and injustice, but we can give them one less thing to worry about, and a tiny bit of independence back to Alfie.
