Wheelchair for Kevin
Donation protected
My brother Kevin is a 40 year old former college baseball player. He lived an active life until he was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease several years ago. This disease has no cure, and very little can be done to stop its progress. Kevin is losing his ability to walk, as the disease attacks the nerves in his lower extremities and he will be unable to walk with crutches very soon. In order to keep him living independantly and able to be mobile, a wheel chair is needed. He would like a lightweight chair that is easy for him to get in and out of his car. His monthly disability check isn't enough to cover the cost of the lightweight chair he wants so he continues to try and walk, which causes him more pain.
Our family is working hard to help my brother continue to live an independant, happy life and a wheelchair will make his everyday life much easier. Any donations towards this are greatly appreciated.
