WHEA Boston - NY 8th Grade Trip

Aloha, the 8th grade class at West Hawaii Explorations Academy (WHEA) in Kailua Kona is planning on taking a trip to Boston and New York in the spring of this school year. This trip will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for the students to experience another culture and bring their learning to life.  In 8th grade we learn about American History and will be visiting locations that tie into our curriculum, we will be meeting our pen pals from Connecticut in person as well as attending several STEM related places such as MIT.  This will be a trip for 37 students, many of which have never had a chance to travel off of our island before due to the cost of airfare. Helping us to fund this trip will give our students an opportunity that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
