My story begins in May of 2009. During my journey through the world of a cancer patient I have experienced diagnosis, treatment, remission, relapse, more treatment, more relapse and more remission. I have undergone two bone marrow transplants, full body radiation, multiple chemotherapy treatments, and t-cell therapy.
In August (2017) I had another relapse. My doctors gave me more treatment and yet again I have experienced remission. I am extremely happy, however, there comes a point (for me it was my 4th relapse) when you get tired of putting a "band-aid" on your problems.
My goal is to get to the root cause of my issues so I can stop living this cycle. Over the last 5 months I vigorously researched alternative ways to heal. I noticed one organization was frequently mentioned, the Gerson Institute. Max Gerson designed a therapy using holistic methods to naturally cleanse the body, to not only remove toxins from the body, but to assist it in the healing process. A strong body is one that can defend itself.
Since the 1970's Gerson has been helping people recover from chronic degenerative diseases by simply restoring the body to a strong healthy state, capable of defending itself against disease. The Gerson therapy provides both a treatment and class room setting. Prospective patients of the therapy, like myself, are also students attending daily classes at the Gerson Institute clinic to learn how to bring the methods back into their everyday life. The lessons learned at the clinic provide the patient/student with a nutrition lifestyle that uses a carefully designed natural process to not only cleanse the body but activate the body's extraordinary ability to heal itself and stay healthy.
I am trying to raise money to attend the Gerson Institute clinic and receive their therapy. The therapy is not covered by insurance and the only way I would be able to attend is with your help.
