As the headline tag may have already informed you I am a trans woman who's been undergoing transitioning for 9 years now. Ive been through lots of ups and downs and it's been an immense rollercoaster of a ride to get where I am now. Countless Dr office visits, working low paying jobs and trying to afford hormones which are costly, having very difficult and emotional conversations with my mother trying to accept me as I am, going through lots of agononizing laser hair removal which has been expensive. Needless to say this journey has been extremely costly, time consuming and emotionally draining.
Just over a year ago I finally managed to afford my first round of Facial Feminization Surgery with Dr.Spiegel in Boston! It was such an amazing day I'll never forget it. I still look in the mirror each and every day because I feel like I'll wake up to seeing my old nose and getting really dysphoric again. My face and voice have been a major MAJOR cause of depression , anxiety , and hopelessness. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I could really use your help to finally finish my transition.
I'm planning on having voice surgery soon in LA with Dr.Keojampa which is 6k$. Im also planning on having 2 more procedures done to finish my FFS surgeries that I believe will finalize my transition and be free from gender dysphoria and social anxiety. Voice surgery would be the most impactful since I unfortunately have a really masculine and deep voice I feel there is no other way around this than surgery.
As I am now I only go to and from work and hardly go outside for fear of my safety and to mitigate any distress I get from the constant "oh sorry sir/mr' and the double takes people do when I speak. I will personally try to pay for the other procedures by working my job at a local clinic but it will take a long time to afford all of them. With your help I can save enough money to be able to afford this life changing surgery by my next birthday with a whole decade of transition finally completed!
