Help for Josh Odom's Funeral

Donation protected

An 18-year-old took his life the other day and in that moment, we all lost something. One person lost a son, another lost a brother, another lost a friend, and the world lost a person who would have done great things.

Josh was a man who loved being loved by others and others loved being around him. Many memories of Josh include watching him play video games or lounging around the house. He was a special soul who never spoke much. We  always enjoyed his company when he was around, and will miss him forever. Joshua went to Grosse Ile Middle school and 1 year at GI High school before he went to live with his sister and her family, he attended Franklin High School in Westland.

No one was prepared for Josh to leave this earth at such an early age and in this unpreparedness, we had no funds set aside for a funeral. We need help to gather funds to lay Josh to rest in a manner that respects him. We are asking for any help you can provide to this cause. Funds that we receive over and above our need will be donated to a suicide prevention organization or a mental health awareness campaign in Josh's memory. We understand that these are real problems that our society faces and do not wish anyone else to feel the pain that we are feeling.

Josh without knowing did something great,
he made all of us truly aware of the damage mental health can cause and the help that it requires. We are now all advocates. for this cause. We have united to campaign for a great cause in his honor.

We will never forget Josh and we will miss him forever.

Josh we love you.
