Wes & Renate Wuerfel assistance

Wes & Renate Wuerfel: Disaster struck these wonderful people on October 17th, 2017. Along with many of their neighbors and church family, Wes & Renate lost most everything they had to a wildfire near Hilda, AB, in southern Canada. Thank God that they made it out with their lives, but not much else made it. The clothes on ther back and an old farm truck. The fire changed direction so suddenly that they had no time to gather any belongings. At the present, Wes & Renate are staying with friends and have been given some necessities. Toiletries, some clothing, etc.. Those things will run out, however, and their living was made on that farm. Many of my friends have asked how they can help out, as have friends of other family members. As they are in limbo right now, it is difficult to even know where to send aid, and so I feel raising some money for them is the best way to help right now. Thank you for taking the time to read this and consider what you can do. Wes & Renate are truly extraordinary people who have been there for those in need, many times. Time to pay it forward.

For those who do not know who I am, my name is Christian Hawes and I live in Jacksonville, FL. Wes is my mother's cousin. When I heard about the fire, I wanted to do something, anything I could to help, but without having even an adress to send help to I figured this would be the best way. The money raised in this campaign will go directly to Wes & Renate, to help them start over with whatever they have a need for. They escaped the fire with nothing more than what you see in the photo above, the clothes on their backs. Everything was lost. On Nov. 4th, they will be moving into a friend's vacant condo as a temporary "place of their own" while they figure out where to go from there. Once they are settled in, I will send them the funds that have been so graciously donated. Again, thank you for taking the time to read their story, and for your consideration.
