Wendy's Fight Against Cancer

Dear Friends, Family, Wausa Community and beyond,

Today I am hoping we can all get behind one of the most beautiful people I have ever known. Our artistic, creative, amazing librarian, friend and colleague Wendy – a remarkable woman, a loving friend, a hard worker who continuously goes above and beyond for others, and a resilient soul has just found out she will be courageously battling cancer.

Wendy, a beacon of strength and positivity, was diagnosed with lung cancer. Her weeks has been filled with countless doctor appointments, and the unpredictable twists that accompany this journey. Despite the challenges, Wendy has faced each day with an unwavering spirit and an ornery smile that can light up the darkest room.

As many of you know, the costs associated with cancer treatment are astronomical. Medical bills, prescription medications, and various other expenses have created and will create a financial burden that is beyond Wendy's means. In the face of this, we are reaching out to our community, both near and far, to lend a helping hand and provide support during this challenging time.
