Wendy Davies’ Medical and Memorial

Donation protected
Wendy lived a full life, but way too short.  She was a caring mother, sister, daughter and aunt.  She died November 20,2017.   Having been  born on February 14, 1965 , Valentines Day, we should have known her heart was to define her life in so many ways.

After a diagnosis of  Giant Cell Myocarditis when Emily was just a year old, Wendy had a heat transplant in 2004. Over the years she  was beset with many medical complications including: aspergillosis which caused her to become blind,  cancer requiring rigorous treatment, and on going management of her heart transplant.    Her losses in her life never defined her.  Yet, her heart did define her, but it was what the heart gives, warmth and affection that defined her, not the transplant. She was always interested in what was going on with you and your loved ones.  She loved to camp with her family, attend school events, cook for family gatherings and entertain.  She was adventurous in her approach to life. She lived her life with grace, humor and independence.

She had the heart transplant 13 years ago and yesterday her warm loving heart just wore out.  Her fierce independence, her warm voice, and love for her family will be deeply missed.

She died Monday  morning , strong in her faith in God.  She also died knowing she was well loved by her two children, Luke and Emily and her husband Garth.

In addition to grief and a hole in their lives, the family will be left with many medical and funeral expenses.   Her illness has extended over many years taking both an emotional and financial toll on the family. We want to raise this money so Garth will have money as the bills come due this next month.  If there is extra money the funds will be used to help with Emily and Luke’s future plans.

Please remember Wendy  and honor her family with a donation.

She will be forever missed by us all.
