Wendy & Robert / Liver transplant

I’m here to tell you just a little about the two most generous and amazing people I know. My mother and stepfather. About 10 years ago my step dad was Officially diagnosed with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease with cirrhosis. Over the years he declined, and it caused liver failure. they struggled with his health for a long time. Finally in 2016, they found a donor, a family friend. On December 13, 2016 he finally had his transplant. He was only supposed to be out of work for a couple months... but he had serious complications 3 days before Christmas. It was terrifying. My mother stood by his side in the hospital the entire time he was there, from December until February. He has been in and out of the hospital since he came home in February... but When he came home my mom went to work part time to support them as much as she could between doctors and appointments and readmittances into the hospital in NY. She ended up loosing her job because she couldn’t work the hours they required. She takes him to every appointment over 200 in the past year... she is such a strong and amazing person. He finally went back to work in October 2017.. some days are better than others for him. And now After a really hard year and countless doctors, procedures and hospitalizations, Bob is back in the hospital again right now because his heart is having an issue. They are doing tests and trying to figure out what’s happening and how to fix it. I’ve never seen him so upset, even through everything the past few years.
I know they are having trouble with money right now because my mom lost her job. I struggle with money as a single mom, and they help me so much even though they’re struggling..I just want them to have something good come their way. Anything helps. Thanks in advance! God bless.
