Rodney Hall and Family Assistance Fund

Update:  December 8, 2018. Words cannot express the heart felt appreciation offered to Violet and her family (which consists of her mother and sisters, Rodney's parents, Rodney Hall Sr. and Sandy Lee), and the many uniform first responders from the fire dept. and medical transport company that attended Rodney's service. The words from the Chief, the fire dept. Chaplin, the pomp and ceremony provided by the fire dept., were tasteful, uplifting and fitting of a fallen comrade, a friend, a brother in uniform . As difficult as it must have been, messages (talks) were given by Rodney Sr., Violet Hall and Joe Colby, a family friend. An 'open mic.' for friends and family was filled with kind words, deep and sincere love by Rodney's adopted daughter and ex wife. While only being on this earth but for a short four decades, the way in which he touched lives was demonstrated by the over 100 in attendance.

Sympathies were also extended to the Hall family by his past LDS Mission President, President Dale Murphy (of the Atlanta Braves fame)

The donations contributed to the family via Gofundme are greatly appreciated and needed.  The life for the family without Rodney, is uncertain. Additional donations, as well as prayers, will surely be needed for the family. May the challenge be met on both of these fronts.

Update:
December 3, 2018.  Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 7 at 10:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 390 SE John Jones Dr. Burleson, Texas 76028.  (Behind the new Kroger shopping center that's on John Jones and Wilshire Blvd) Rodney's wish is to be cremated, so there won't be any gravesite activities.

Church attire (suit or sport coat and tie for men and dresses for women) is requested.  However, we understand your employment or personal situation may make this difficult. Your attendance and the sharing  of your love and respect for Rodney's family is more important than your attire. Please, come and give of your respect.

As this is a sacred service, video filming and photo taking should be kept outside of the chapel.

A small lunch will be provided afterwards by the great people and team members of the fire department and medical services of whom Rodney worked with.

December 1, 2018.  Rodney left us last night. His father and brothers were able to make the long drive from Las Vegas, NV just in time. With the power and authority of the Melchizedek Priesthood,  his father was able to offer a 'release' blessing. His mother, wife, children, along with many other loving family members and friends, were at Rodney's bedside. Rodney's physical mission, here on earth is through, yet, his spirit will live on - both here and through the eternities.  The time will soon come where he will be sealed for all time and eternity with his sweet wife and children. May his memory and spirit be forever a standard to us.

Rodney Hall served his community and family in many ways.  As a first responder he rushed in to help those in need. Now, with stage four cancer and mounting medical bills he needs our help. Without pulling any punches, this condition is terminal. He is in hospice care (Hugley Hospice House, Burleson, TX). This condition always brings sadness and stress. Being this time of year does not make it any easier.  Rodney's wife, Violet and the children need our help. It will be but a short time and Rodney will not be with us, Violet will be without her best friend and the children will be without their father.
