Weckman Family house fire

Donation protected
On Sunday, December 31st, the Weckman Family’s house caught on fire while they were attending a church service. No family members were injured however the family suffered the loss of their beloved hunting labrador Jessie and family cat Ray Ray. The family members range from a 2-year old little girl to teenage boys, totaling six children. The house is completely destroyed and the family lost everything they owned and cherished. Kind coworkers, family and friends have offered their homes to the Weckman Family for the time being as they recover from this disaster. The local church and community has been overly generous in gathering clothes and toys for the children and family, however the road to replenishing the cherished items they have worked a lifetime to acquire is long, costly and emotionally challenging.

Gene Weckman was a Fish and Wildlife Officer for 12 years and unfortunately had to be medically retired in August 2017 due to a back injury which required multiple surgical procedures.  Gene’s wife Erin was raising their six children at their home until Gene’s retirement and she now works for St Thomas School to supplement the family’s reduced income.

We are asking you to please open your hearts in aiding the family with any amount of donation you can provide at this time. Our love and prayers are with the Weckman Family; anything you can give will help.
