Blue Ridge Rollergirls are Going to Division 1 Playoffs!
It is with great excitement that BRRG accepted an invitation to WFTDA playoffs in Sacramento, CA. We have worked hard to get this far and would appreciate your help to get us to California.
Last year we traveled to Des Moines for Division 2 Playoffs. We came home with a silver medal and an invite to D2 Championships, where we brought home the bronze. We had a great time and are looking forward to some great derby at the 2014 playoffs.
Estimated total costs for the trip are $13,750. This includes flights, accommodations, and tournament fees for our team and support staff.
We are not a professional sports organization. Our players and volunteers do derby as a hobby and for the love of the sport. The BRRG organization has been working hard on and off the track. The opportunity to play in this tournament is a dream come true for the league. Help us make our dreams a reality!
The international WFTDA Playoffs and Championships tournament series brings together the most talented, highly trained and committed skaters and officials from WFTDA member leagues to display the “Real, Strong, Athletic and Revolutionary” game play that pushes the limits of the sport worldwide. Whether participating on the track, cheering in the stands or watching online, the WFTDA tournaments provide everyone who loves roller derby an opportunity to witness the most anticipated match-ups of the year (wftda.com).
