We need trees and trees need us!

Our school wanted to learn how we could help people and the planet. We learned about the Montana landscape and American Indians who live here. We learned about animals who live in Montana and what kinds of habitat they need. We learned about how climate change is impacting weather, coral reefs, ice caps, many animals, and people. We learned that planting trees is one major thing we can do to help the climate and earth! In fact, 1 tree absorbs 50 lbs of carbon each year, ~50,000 lbs over their lifetime :) The average American carbon footprint is about 16 tons or 32,000 lbs of CO2 per year. We made a goal to plant trees!!
