Hello everyone,
Most of you know Sarah (aka Farmer), some of you might not, but no one would ever disagree with me in saying that Sarah will always go out of her way to make any one of her friends / coworkers happy - even if this means disrupting her own personal agenda.
We've known Sarah for almost 10 years, and could share a million and one stories that prove this, as could a lot of you too. If you know Sarah, you know that she is an amazing culinary chef, incredibly well known in the Ottawa community. That being said, being a chef is not the best paying job, and it also requires you to be on your feet... All. Day. Long.
Today, Sarah needs our help. Sarah has chronic venous insufficiency in her legs, meaning that the valves in her legs don't work as they should, causing the blood to pool in her veins. If untreated this will cause ulcers, open sores and unbearable pain.
The good news is that this can be rectified, but this procedure is unfortunately not covered by Canadian Health Care. This procedure costs $8000, for both legs.
Sarah seriously needs our help, and with little to no sacrifice from all of us we can help her get the funding she needs.
This is the first time one of our loved one's health is affected like this, it's the first time that money is a barrier to better health. We are so happy that websites like this exists, where we can find a way to help each other, wether we be family or complete strangers.
