Hello. My name is Katie Karel. I am an actor sometimes, a singer when needed, and almost always a pain in the collective ass. I was diagnosed in 2016 with a rare stage IV cancer, and have been in remission for almost five years. But this (for maybe the first time ever) is not about me. This is about our friend Cheryl.

 

Cheryl Weaver is a star. And right now, the cosmos are dimming because of a similar brush with fate. This is not a diatribe about sickness, this is a desire for wellness. Nearly five years later I STILL benefit from the funds collected during my treatment. I am well today, and doing well because the furthest thing from my mind was my financial well-being. So, hi... here I am. A girl, asking our world to look out for one of its own, in hopes of loving, comforting, all-encompassing wellness.
