We love Rintaro- Our Friend & Computer Support guy

Our friend and brother, Rintaro Arakane, the voice behind "computer support" for the Diocese of Madison, had his last day at work on Friday, Jan. 31, 2020.
Why did he have to leave?
Close to two years ago, Rintaro shared with some co-workers that he was diagnosed with ALS or "Lou Gherig's" disease. ALS is a neurodegenerative disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing loss of muscle control and loss of bodily functions, though your mind is intact. It is a progressive disease that currently has no cure.
Rintaro has cheerfully and courageously kept working in his position as Computer Support while many of us friends have been praying for a miracle. Now, he is leaving the job he loves, as the disease has progressed causing weakness in his arms and difficulties in performing daily tasks.
Rintaro is a wonderful husband to Adriana and a loving father to their daughter Emi. The picture above is a family shot a couple of years prior to his diagnosis.
We're hoping to show him our support, prayers and assist him and his family with their many upcoming expenses both medical and otherwise. I also simply wanted to provide extended friends and well-wishers with a means to express their love and care for this exceptional, modest and hard-working Catholic man, who has always found the time to help in so many large and small ways.
Rintaro recently conveyed the following in one of his last emails to his collegues at the Diocese of Madison and I'm sure he would intend it for each of you as well:
"I don't know what future holds for me and my family but whatever that may be I have faith that with God's grace we will be alright.
"I want to thank everyone for your prayers and support, I wouldn't have made it this far without them. I will always be grateful from the bottom of my heart."
