We Love Linda

This week our friend, Linda Crouch, suffered significant damage to her home when Hurricane Florence devastated her neighborhood in Hampstead, North Carolina.  At this point, their home will have to be stripped to the studs and entirely rebuilt.  A local news report details the extent of damage to their neighborhood (please click here ).

Most of us first met Linda several years ago at the Stash Bash, which is a quilting retreat where we all met.  Linda is one of those unique individuals who only puts positive energy into the world.  She is always ready with a kind word, the exact fabric or tool you need to finish your project, or her infectious laughter just when you need a boost to your spirits!  She is so considerate and always thinking of others -- she includes special extras in our Birthday Club gifts and makes samples for a new business without even thinking twice.  We are all just devastated that such a good person is facing such a huge loss.

Because we care so much, a group of Linda's quilting friends are trying to organize assistance for her.  Those who are in driving distance are poised to help her with demolition and rebuilding efforts as soon as she is able to get back in her house and we will be reaching out within the community to replace Linda's lost notions, fabric and machines, so that she can resume the hobby she loves when life returns a bit more to normal. 

However, the most important and daunting task is will be rebuilding their home from scratch and that's where we ask you to help.  If you can contribute anything towards Linda's rebuilding efforts, we would personally be very grateful.  No amount is too small and if you are able, please share with your friends and family.  One of the best things to come out of tragedy is the love and support from friends, family, and complete strangers.  We hope we can show Linda in some way that she is loved.  We have all had challenging moments in our lives, and we would not have been able to push through without the support and care of loves one.  Now, would like to help a dear friend who is facing a daunting task.
