We CARE Stella Bear

Blink of an eye... my friend, Amy and fellow USPS carrier's life was changed this past weekend. Her daughter, Stella (age 10) had a bike accident by the lake and had to get stitches on her knee. She woke up Saturday and couldn't move her leg, bacteria had gotten in. She was Life flighted to Egelston in Atlanta, they did an emergency surgery and she was under observation. By Sunday morning the flesh eating bacteria had moved to half her femur and towards her groin. They had to remove her leg at the hip. But she is alive. Her mom has been a RCA for 18 mo. So she doesn't have leave or our insurance for short term care. Just Peachcare ins. Amy is a single mom of 2 wonderful kids, Stella and her brother, Seven is 12.  This will help her daughter and the family so they can focus on getting better.  Today is Monday, Stella has had 4 surgeries since Saturday  so you can imagine the growing hospital cost.  At this moment she is in ICU fighting off an infection. This will be a long road to travel, she will need to learn to walk again! But Stella is a fighter, she is so funny and outspoken. Typical 10 year old girl. I want to show Stella she has support and people that truly CARE. And as a mother, to have support for your child(ren) means everything.  Amy needs that. It changes how you look at life, it changes how you will proceed with decisions that you make. I decided to set this up to help ease some of what can't be done physically and emotionally. I look to you, my friends for help, because I have chosen friends throughout my life who value the same things in life that I do -Family, Religion, Love and care for others and Life, most of all LOVE FOR KIDS. ❤ #wecarestellabear  *with permission from mom.
