We Are Here; The Megan Joy Project
Donation protected
"We are Here" (The Megan Joy Project) is a short film inspired by our dear friend Megan Ballou, and others who we have lost to suicide. It will share the stories of those who have been affected by this, as well as those who have struggled with these thoughts. We hope it brings awareness and also support to anyone in need.
The vast majority of this project (venues, film production, organization) has been donated so far by caring local individuals who want to help. But there will be certain aspects of the project that require funds.
This GoFundMe is set up to raise money in order to support the creation and screening of the short film. EVERY PENNY made from this project will be donated to local suicide prevention organizations and the Rape Recovery Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
All leftover money not required to ensure the screenings success will ALSO be donated to these causes.
Please help us to help our loved ones in need, who may be fighting this tough, invisible fight with mental illness. We want them to know that they are loved, they matter, and that they are cared about. Help us spread this message through this film and through supporting organizations that can help.
Thank You,
