Janis Board Medical Relief Fund

 On March 31st Janis checked herself into the ER at SRMC where she works as a tech. She had been experiencing abdominal pain for quiet some time and it became so severe she could not drive home. 

 A CT was ordered and she was given CT contrast to drink.  Janis had an allergic reaction to the contrast. From that point on she was treated for the allergic reaction but a critical medical error was made and she went into cardiogenic shock. Janis's heart then had reduced its working capacity to just 20%. She was experiencing severe difficulty breathing and she had fluid on her lungs.

 Since yesterday Janis has been fully sedated and intubated, fully dependant on a ventilator to breath for her.  The cardiologist evaluated her and decided she needed a emergency procedure in the cath lab to place an Aortic Balloon Pump. She is being given several medications at this time. We will not know until 04/02 at the earliest if her heart has had enough time to recover.

  Some of you may not know Janis all that well but I will tell you she has the biggest heart of anyone I know. She would do anything to help people in need. She recently wed Jeremy Board and they just bought their first home together. They are supposed to close on the home before 04/15/16. They are the parents of an american bulldog named James and just recently got James a sister bulldog named Dolly. 

 The physicians are unsure how long janis will need for recovery. Please donate anything you can! Every little bit helps!!!!!!!
