A friend in Need

Tiffany Narcisco was born in raised in North Wildwood, NJ. Throughout her life she has continually amazed us with her courage and ability. Tiffany was born deaf but overcame all obstacles. She attended college earning her degree in deaf education, advocacy and social work. Upon graduating she was offered many mainstream jobs due to her dynamic attitude and abilities. She opted otherwise and chose to abandon her family, friends and comforts of home to teach impoverished deaf children on Ebeye Island. Ebeye Island is located in the Marshall Islands,  and where Tiffany teaches children at the The Ebeye Deaf Education Center (EDEC).  Last Saturday, November 10th, her house was destroyed by fire caused by faulty electrical wires.  Living conditions are poor at best but, she bears it to have the ability to help and teach these children. Luckily, Tiffany was not hurt but all of her belongings that she uses daily to teach and attempt to maintain some sense of normal life were destroyed. Unfortunately, this is a remote area with limited resources and it’s unlikely that she will be able to replace what was lost.  She has received some donations of clothes and personal items from the Marshallese people but she needs much more in order to continue her good work.  Below please find the link to the EDEC website which gives you more information about the program.  We are hoping that you will consider Tiffany as your charitable endeavor this year.  Your gifts will not only benefit her but will have a huge impact on the children to which she so lovingly donates her time and attention.
