"April 15, 2019 our world changed completely. We found out we were expecting a completely blessed surprise. Our hearts were full. On April 15, 2020 our world has once again changed and feels as if it has come to a screeching halt and our hearts are broken. Our otherwise healthy, chubby, bubbly baby has been diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma. What started out as thinking a little bump on his eyelid was a stye turned into a life altering event in a matter of 3 weeks. The preliminary biopsy was negative and the tumor was removed. We thought we were in the clear, thought we dodged a bullet and went home thinking how lucky we were and how much worse things could have turned out. We took him to his appointment thinking it was just going to be a routine post op check up, little did we know our life was getting ready to hit a brick wall going 100 mph. We were not ready for this C word as I'm sure no parent is. Its something you hear about and just never think its something that's going to happen to you. It is said that God doesn't give us anymore than we can handle but I'm not sure how much more I can really take. Hes so happy and just full of life and personality and I'm just sick and heartbroken and want to just breakdown but I can't I'm his momma and we have to stay strong for him. Andy and I would both give anything to trade places with him. Thankful for the friends that have put us on prayer lists and I've asked for a lot of prayers lately but I'm going to ask for more. We need as much of Gods help as we can get right now. We really like our oncologist and have had exceptional care at Barnes Children's Hospital. We are in good hands and just have to put our faith in God that he will see us through this"
