Watson Wigs 3rd Anniversary

Wig Shop 3rd Year Anniversary

For the past 2 years to celebrate Watson Wigs Shop Anniversary I have held a charity fundraising event at my shop to raise funds for The Little Princess Trust and The Brain Tumour Charity. I also have invited people to turn up at my shop and have their hair cut to be donated to The Little Princess Trust.

Unfortunately this year is a little different with the new restrictions surrounding the Coronavirus. I have previously put out on social media if people would like to donate their hair before the anniversary and I’m extremely pleased to have already received 89 inches of hair!

On Saturday 10th October 2020 at 12pm, I will be having my own hair chopped (at least 10 inches) at my shop to put towards this great amount of hair I’ve received and I’m hoping to raise funds before and on the day to be able to give back to both of these fantastic charities. I do have a fundraising page and would really appreciate any donation you are able to give.

Last year we were able to send off 95.5 inches of hair so I’m hoping to beat this amount this year. If you are planning on having more than 8 inches of hair cut from now up until the 10th October, please get in touch as I would love you to contribute.

Since I opened in 2017 I've met and had the absolute privilege to hear stories from people of all walks of life about their own medical conditions and stories of their loved ones. Every person who walks into my shop or contacts me is unique and has a different story to tell whether it's a sad or positive story. I feel so passionate about what I do and to be in a position to help raise awareness for two wonderful charities makes me very proud to be a part of that.

Thank you. x

The Charities:

The Little Princess Trust is a charity which provides real hair wigs to children and young people with hair loss, and funding vital research into childhood cancer.

The aim of The Brain Tumour Charity is to improve understanding, diagnosis and treatment of brain tumours to improve outcomes for everyone affected. Currently there are 102,000 people living with a brain tumour and the impact can be devastating. Research into brain tumours is woefully underfunded with less than 2% of the overall cancer research funding contributing to this.
