Watson Wigs 2 Year Anniversary

Last October to celebrate my wig shop's 1st anniversary I held a charity fundraising event to get hair donations for The Little Princess Trust and raise funds for (TLPT) and The Brain Tumour Charity.
I had a qualified hair dresser on the day in my shop and also in the run up to the event had other people donate their previously cut hair. At the end of the event in total I had 112 inches of hair (including 10 inches of my own) to donate to TLPT and we raised £320 which was split between both charities. (see below for more information about the two charities)
So this year on Saturday 5th October 2019 between 10am-1pm I will be celebrating my 2nd year anniversary by doing a similar event. I have a hairdresser on the day to professionally cut the hair and have a few bits happening with the chance to win some prizes kindly donated by local businesses, a teddy table and a special guest appearance 'Rapunzel'...
Since I opened in 2017 I've met and had the absolute privilege to hear stories from people of all walks of life about their own medical conditions and stories of their loved ones. Every person who walks into my shop or contacts me is unique and has a different story to tell whether it's a sad or positive story. I feel so passionate about what I do and to be in a position to help raise awareness for two wonderful charities makes me very proud to be a part of that.

The Charities:
The Little Princess Trust is a charity which provides real hair wigs to children and young people with hair loss, and funding vital research into childhood cancer.
The aim of The Brain Tumour Charity is to improve understanding, diagnosis and treatment of brain tumours to improve outcomes for everyone affected. Currently there are 102,000 people living with a brain tumour and the impact can be devastating. Research into brain tumours is woefully underfunded with less than 2% of the overall cancer research funding contributing to this.
