WATER PROJECT FOR RURAL SCHOOL

When I was nominated as a patron for the Daughters of Divine Love; a Catholic charity that looks after less privileged children including abandoned children street children and children from poor families . The charity has a school where they provide education for these children.

Children that are out of school are more exposed to violence, street begging, trafficking, child labour, child marriage and recruitment by armed groups. They are denied of their basic rights to education. These children deserve to have good quality education

As part of my patronage duty and care to the community, we have supported their Food bank in the uk, provide Laptops and books for schools.

Last year was the biggest decision we made when I was informed that a school with over 120 children has no water and they depended on rain water.

That day we made a decision that we shall build a borehole to provide water for the children . We launched our Borehole initiative to provide water for the children at the school.

We decided and carried out an assessment and found out that it will cost £8,000 to deliver this project. This is why we want to gain the support of all friends, family, catholic friends and Christian brothers to help us provide drinking water to these children to prevent water born disease that can come from dirty water.
