UPDATE ON OUR GoFUNDMe.....PSALM 34:17 (NLT) reads...The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.
It is July 17th, 12 days from the date our apartment was flooded. If you look at the overall goal total it says we have reached 39.53 percent of our goal. When you add in the value of what people have given/done for us in person and through the go fund me site it is more like 88% of our goal. You have done that for us and for that we are forever grateful.
We prayed and asked, then you prayed, gave, and shared our story------ and GOD has done a miracle! We will post another update soon to show you EXACTLY what God has used to do in the life of our family.
There is nothing more for you to do but THANK GOD for being a promise keeper.

ORIGINAL POST......On July 5th 2014 our apartment was flooded due to a main water line valve malfunction. We experienced significant damage to our apartment and to our belongings. Our apartment is no longer livable and unfortunately we did not have rental insurance that would cover the cost of damages or moving. Our apartment management is unwilling/unable to assist in the cost that it would take to move. They informed us that they do not have a comparable unit for us to move into and that they would not be able to cover the cost of a temporary space (or a larger unit at a similar rate). We have depleted our limited savings staying at a hotel and do not have the funds, or resources it would take to move our things and find suitable housing for ourselves and our two children. We are making arrangements with friends and family to help us clean, move and salvage what we can. As it stands we are trying to raise the money to move out and hoping to seek some legal advice about what options we do have regarding the damages and our apartment complex's inability to find us a comparable replacement unit. Wecould use your prayers as we try to find a place to live and get the resources we need to move. We are tired, our kids are restless and wanting to be at "home" but God has already shown us that he will take care of us. Your donation will help us cover the cost of first months rent, security deposit, moving, and replacing essential items lost in the flood like furniture food and clothing. Your support and encouragement is appreciated. Thank you for your kindness and please spread the word!!!
