Washington Middle School Basketball

I’m a middle school special education teacher and also the coach of the school’s Boy's Basketball team. Unfortunately in middle school, there is very little to no funding for sports, so all the funding must come from fund raisers. We are trying to raise funds to aid the student-athletes of the Washington Patriots Basketball team in their efforts to be the best players that they can be on and off the court.

"When a player looks good and feels good about themselves, they always seem to play harder and with more confidence."

It’s much more than basketball, I am trying to help these young men become not only better players and better students but more importantly, better people as they get older. Most of our kids are from a low socio-economic household and our school is in a tough neighborhood, but our students show up every day with a growth mindset, a smile on their face and the enthusiasm to give their best effort.

The funds from this program will go towards new uniforms, basketballs and any other equipment the players can use to help become successful student-athletes. It will also aid in the cost of the end of the season banquet.
