My dear friends Anjilla and Norm became parents for the first time on February 4th. Now more than ever they are in need of our support.
Cora Mary Smith was born on 2/4/2019 weighing 9 pounds and measuring 19.5 inches long. They couldn't be more in love with their sweet girl. She brought instant joy to their lives. The first day the three of them spent together was incredibly peaceful and surreal.
Day 2 brought some setbacks but they have continued to fight each day. Cora was transported via ambulance to the NICU at Dartmouth Hospital in Lebanon, New Hampshire and has been there ever since. What was thought to be some fluid in her lungs has turned into more. It has been determined that Cora has a form of congestive heart failure. She is being and evaluated daily by her medical team and is being loved on by her parents and grandma.
Although they appreciate the support and concern they have asked people to give them the space to be there for each other and to be there for Cora. They will provide updates on their Facebook page and on this page as things come up.
Right now they are in of need of prayers and positive energy sent their way. They have been staying at a hotel across the street from the hospital as they are a couple hours from home. Please consider helping my sweet friends out as their stay in a hotel is unknown as well as the looming medical bills along with the worry of being away from their jobs. A little bit of help goes a long way.
