Ward D10 Queen’s Medical Centre Nottingham

Donation protected
My name is Sian Hopper and I am 21 years old. In April 2018 I was diagnosed with a Pilocytic Astrocytoma brain tumour.

For the last 5 years I’ve been in and out of hospital and unfortunately recently readmitted to help control high cranial pressure and Hydrocephalus; I’ve had several more surgical procedures to deal with this very serious complication and several really long spells in hospital. Since being in hospital it has made me realise how fortunate I am to have the amazing staff on ward D10 at The Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham to help me to recover from my operations, be a shoulder to cry on and keep my spirits high.

With this in mind, I am trying to fundraise for the ward to buy resources for patients and staff which will help to make their
time in hospital a little more comfortable.

To help me to do this some really great friends of mine are going to be running from QMC to Overseal in Derbyshire which is the village where I live. The run will take place on Saturday 16th March 2024 and will be around 35 miles which is known as an ultra marathon.

I would really appreciate it, if you could help me raise as much money as we can for this extremely worthy cause.
