Dear Family & Friends,
My name is Mario Vincenzo Pasquel and as of May 22nd, 2017 my father, Walter Valerio Pasquel, has been in an intensive care unit in a Barcelona hospital. My father suffered a brain aneurysm while on vacation with my mother in Barcelona, Spain. While recovery has been slow and filled with complications in the form of vasospasms that have at times cut off or slowed blood flow to certain parts of his brain, my father’s progress has begun to trend upwards in recent days. Unfortunately, as the number of medical procedures necessary for recovery increase and his length of stay in the hospital continue to grow, so do the hospital bills. The hospital is requiring payment for these services upfront and while we’ve been able to do so with the thought that our health insurance would cover these expenses once they come back, we’ve actually had no guarantee from them that this is the case. This scenario will leave my family at risk for a huge financial debt; if you are able to aide us in any way it would be much appreciated.
