I am a childhood cancer survivor of leukemia in 1974 and adolecent survivor of non Hodgkin's lymphoma 1982. I blue coded twice to having a difficult airway and I don't do well with anesthesia. That is why it is called Walking Miracles.
I never knew of the long term effects the 8 years of chemo and radiation would cause, I was never educated I had to find it all on my own and I never had anyone help me or my mom. I am now 46 years old and have 2 pacemakers and an aortic valve replaced. I don't want others going through this journey like I have. God has blessed me and everyday is good as long as my feet are on the ground. Thanks for your support!!!

Walking Miracles Family Foundation is a 501c3 non profit that helps caregivers families and survivors of childhood adolescent and young adult cancer in WV. We connect these families to resorces referral networks, resources and help defray the cost of travel during their cancer journey and donate our LNX tablet to help them connect to these resources and referral networks through Anytime Telehealth so they can connect to their treatment centers nurses doctors and social workers
To date we have given out $94,000 in travel assistance through our Country Roads Travel Program since we started in 2012. We help with travel if our families are referred for treatment to OH, PA, NC, MD, VA KY, PA .
Our goal was set small at $2600. That helps sponsor 10 families at $250 a piece 2x a year for a total of $500 a year. We do this twice a year our goal is to raise over $25,000 in travel assistance.
