Walking for the Choir of High Hopes
Donation protected
This Christmas a group of 15 Victorians and 2 Sydney-siders will be trekking some of the iconic, world-famous tracks of Tasmania, raising funds for Hobart’s beloved Choir of High Hopes in a five-day odyssey.
We welcome the walkers as honorary members of the choir during their time in Tasmania. They will be wearing our distinctive official, black and red choir t-shirts, so you'll know who they are when you see them!
People wishing to sponsor the walkers and therefore donate to Hobart’s Choir of High Hopes can donate cash to the walkers along the route (in their special containers) or here on our gofundme page.
They start on Saturday 23rd Dec where they will leave from Brooke Street Pier onto tackle Mt Wellington. Members of the Choir of High Hopes will be there to sing some carols and cheer them on their way.
Christmas Eve the intrepid walkers will be traversing the stunning Wineglass Bay Walk on the East Coast.
Day three, Christmas Day, while locals are getting stuck into Christmas pudding they will be in the Douglas Apsley National Park.
Boxing Day will be the famous Bay of Fires Lodge Walk.
The final day, 27th Dec, will be spent in the renowned Cradle Mountain region before leaving the state from Launceston the next day.
The funds raised will help us continue the Choir in 2018, where people facing disadvantage have a place to meet up each week, to share a healthy meal, make friends, find support and of course sing!
