Tara, Mom of 2, Shot & Paralyzed
Donation protected
In September 2018, on the way to drop off a friend, Tara Rackley became the victim of a random act of violence. At a stoplight on Garden Highway, she was shot in the back in a drive-by. After hours of surgery, Tara was able to survive but doctors have a bleak hope of her walking again.
25-year-old Tara is a mother to 5-year-old and 3-year-old boys. She is thought by family and friends to be full of life, silly, hard-working, optimistic, a caring wife, and loving mother whose entire life revolves around her family. Her gorgeous soul radiates as soon as you meet her and is benefiting her during this recovery.
Life as Tara once knew it has turned upside down as she adjusts to being paralyzed for life. She will need new housing as she was living in an upstairs unit, finding a new home with handicap accessibility, purchasing a new vehicle, and medical equipment (such as a bed and a customized wheelchair).
Please help with the support of this mother of two as she receives medical care and recovers from her injuries (both physically and emotionally). Tara humbly appreciates any and all donations that graciously come from this effort.
We will continue to keep updates on her progress.
