Walk of Sorrow

Donation protected

Hi everyone.

My name is Patricia Ballantyne from Deschambault Lake, but currently living outside Prince Albert. As a Residential School Survivor, I decided I wanted and needed to do a walk of sorrow for myself and all survivors and the families that lost there loved ones in all Residential Schools. I am looking to raise funds for supplies, food, water and fuel for my walk (Fuel to transport supplies). These will be used to feed and provide all who will join on the walk.

Contact me if your interested in joining. Planned walk starts from Prince Albert (Old Residential school) Walking to Ottawa to speak about the injustice that the Churches and Government have done and that continue to be done on our First Nations, Inuit and Metis families and children.

Sounds ambitious but with the strength and support of our people, it can be done.

Leaving old Residental school in Prince Albert, Sask at 8 a.m June 5th, 2021.

If you can't make the walk, we are taking sponsorships/donations to help cover costs of food, water and footwear that be needed along the way.

You can join me in Prince Albert or along the way, or you can help by donating a few dollars?
