Walk 75 miles
During the 18 days leading up to my birthday, I plan to walk 75 miles - one mile for each year of my life. My hope is to lose the lockdown pounds, get fitter and raise much needed funds for the Ghanaian Children's Trust - a charity close to my heart. All money raised will be used for the benefit of the children with nothing being taken for administration or salaries as the charity is run entirely by volunteers. Covid-19 has put a stop to the charity's usual fundraising events but the needs of the children haven't gone away.
Please help me reach my ambitious target of £750? Your support will be very much appreciated.
More information about Ghanaian Children's Trust: The charity supports orphaned and destitute children in Ghana, primarily but not exclusively those living at King Jesus Charity Home in Boadi, Kumasi. The charity supports the orphanage financially to pay for maintenance and improvements to the building, to pay for education costs and food. The charity donates clothing, footwear, educational equipment and books and maintains regular contact with the orphanage to ensure its needs are being catered for.
