Help Tommy Beat Cancer

Donation protected
On March 4th, Thomas “Tommy” Richard Bond went to his pediatrician who noticed Tommy’s abdomen seemed abnormally large. Tommy then had an ultrasound which found a rare form of kidney cancer called a Wilms Tumor on his right kidney.

Tommy was admitted directly to the hospital, later transferred to an oncology specialist, and then required urgent surgery. Surgeons were able to remove the tumor, but this also required removing Tommy’s kidney, adrenal gland, and part of his diaphragm. Tommy then needed another procedure in order to have permanent vascular access for future chemotherapy. After 12 long days, Tommy and his family were finally able to go home.

Tommy now faces 4-5 months of chemotherapy and his immune system will be compromised because of the treatments. To complicate this, Tommy’s father is an EMS First Responder and Flight Nurse who may be exposed to an illness such as the coronavirus and then need to isolate himself from his family for fear of making Tommy ill.

Please help Tommy’s parents face the challenge of raising 3 kids and getting Tommy the help he needs during this difficult time.  Thank you for your generosity and kindness.  God Bless you all!
