Wa Songme (Come Help Me)

Pastor Lawrence Beka has been serving as an itinerant preacher in the Northern Region of Ghana since 2001 when he was commissioned as the first resident pastor of the Bethel Methodist Church in Navrongo . He is married and has four children. From this base location he has worked tirelessly to spread the gospel and has planted churches in Bolgatanga, Wa, Lawra, Tamale and other cities in the area including souhtern portions of the nation of Burkina Faso. Pastor Beka is involved in the communities wherever he goes. He's organized and developed programs to assist the marginalized people of these areas such as the: hospitalized, widows, orphans, and foster children.

In all of his work and movement around the country, he doesn't have a home of his own. He's now in his mid 50's and is thinking and planning for retirement. Many itinerant pastors in Ghana  retire or die without resources. In such cases,  funds must be raised to put up small living quarters for the surviving spouses and children.

Pastor Beka is now assigned as a resident pastor to the Methodist Church in Techiman where he has an opportunity to purchase a home for himself and his family in the amount of $25,000.00. He has two years to come up with the funds needed to make the purchase.

The support to purchase this home will allow Pastor Beka to have a base home that he will own as he  continues his ministry throughout Northern Ghana. The home will provide a permanent residence for him and his family who have sacrificed so much for the proliferation of the Gospel. He will also use the home to provide temporary housing for missionaries who come to the region to support the various ministries and programs he's undertaken.
