Medical Expenses for Amy Dagenais

At the end of August 2021, Amy was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Following a surgery to remove the tumor in early September, Amy suffered a stroke that left her in a coma. When she regained consciousness, Amy had to begin the long and difficult process of regaining all of the function she had lost. Amy spent November and December in a rehab hospital working on relearning how to speak, stand, and walk, among other things. While she has been discharged and is now home with her parents, she will need ongoing outpatient rehab, home health nurses, and will be continuing care at Brooks Rehab and Mayo Clinic.

 

This fundraiser aims to help with the immediate costs of insurance deductibles and payments, ongoing expenses for medical care and equipment, and helping Amy get back on her feet whenever she is fully recovered. In this way, we can help Amy focus on recovery without having to worry about medical debt. We will also be able to help her parents, David and Susan, focus on caring for her without the added worry of financial costs.
