Help with medical bills and funeral cost.

On January 14th Jim and Carol tested positive for Covid. They fought this horrible virus at home together until Jim was admitted to the hospital on January 19 with difficulties breathing from Covid and Pneumonia. The next day his oxygen levels dropped too low and they had to intubate him. Due to the intubation he was placed on multiple sedatives, placing him in a medically induced coma for the next few weeks. While at home by herself, worried about her husband and dealing with Covid Carol had a stroke. With Jim in the hospital still in a coma Carol wasn’t found until the following day at about 2:30 PM. She was rushed to Ogden Regional by ambulance and from there life flighted to St. Marks hospital. The doctors assessed her and it was determined that the clot in her brain was too big to surgically remove. She was placed on blood thinners and she responded well, she was up talking, walking and within 2 days of this treatment was transported back to Ogden Regional so she could begin rehab and begin the healing process. On Feb 6th at 1:00AM Carol had began bleeding into her brain. This caused an immense amount of pressure and swelling in her brain, causing irreversible damage. The decision was made to place her on life support so that our families could go say their goodbyes.

On Feb 7th Jim awoke from his coma and was able to be taken off of the ventilator and breathe on his own. only 3 hours before his beloved wife was schedule to be taken off life support. Jim was able to FaceTime Carol to say his goodbyes to her. Carol passed away around 3:00 PM Feb 7th.

In light of all this, Jim is on his way to recovery and is doing the best he can to cope with the emotional pain with the passing of his wife and the damages done to him physically from the illnesses.

Due to the medical procedures preformed on both of them it has caused an immense financial hardship for our family.

We are asking for donations to help alleviate some of the financial stress that Jim is now facing.
